Donald and Daisy were given as Easter Bunny presents to the children of a family living near Newton Stewart, they were much loved and very well looked after by their young owners and then tragedy struck.
The family were renting accommodation and the landlord sold the property and gave them a months notice to move out, unable to find another private let they had no option but to move into council premises and were told that no pets were allowed, no amount of pleading would make the council official dealing with them change his mind.
The children’s father rang us and luckily we were able to take these two lovely and friendly rabbits in. Donald and Daisy live with four male guinea pigs.
