Born in March 2013, this beautiful Anglo Nubian goat went from auction where he was offered for sale to live with two pygmy goats in Ayrshire called Del Boy and Rodney – inevitably he became known as Uncle Albert! Unfortunately the lady who purchased him lost her grazing and all three goats had to be rehomed. Mossburn was contacted and quickly found a home for Del Boy and Rodney which left Albert. This was a bit of a problem for Albert as he had not been castrated but we agreed to take him on here if the owner had him seen to. Uncle Albert arrived here with us in November 2013 and was very happy to find himself among so many other goats. Our wee girl Maple who only turned two in January this year was a bit put out to discover she was no longer the youngest and she made a great show of butting Albert! Once she came in season, two days following his arrival, and discovered the newly castrated arrival was very interested in her she changed her mind about him and they are now very close friends!
Uncle Albert is a very friendly goat and a big softy so is much adored by everyone who meets him and as you can see from his picture he is a very good looking guy with amazing ears!
