Ollie came to live with us in 2013. Ollie’s owner had contacted us to ask if we could try and find him a permanent loan home. She had inherited him as a companion to her daughter’s horse, who had unfortunately died and was not replaced as the girl was going to university. The owner herself does not claim to have any horse knowledge but was aware that a pony of 6 years old and unbroken living on its own did not seem right. We were unable to find anyone to take him so took him here to break him in with thoughts of then finding him a home after the breaking. However our mule Silillia had been very depressed after losing the last of her original herd and she took to Ollie when he arrived and has been a surrogate mother to him ever since. We cannot find it in our hearts to part with him now. Ollie is a clever pony who has taken all his lessons on very rapidly and has turned out to be an excellent member of our Learning With Horses team. Ollie is a welsh section A, 11.2hh bay and very handsome pony.
