Millie arrived with us in 2012. Millie’s mother died when she was only a few months old and she was taken on by a couple who looked after and loved her until they no longer had the use of the patch of land where they kept her. They contacted us because they were concerned about getting this much humanised goat, who had now reached the age of 8 without seeing another goat, could be homed by people who would understand and look after her. Millie is still very fond of people but gets along well with the other goats, and seems to be pleased to be among her own kind. She has one large horn that she rubs up against you when she wants attention – and she certainly wants plenty of attention! Some people think she is butting them but this isn’t actually the case. Millie recently appeared as part of an Art Degree Show at Glasgow School of Art, which is contained within The Macintosh Building who made a large concession as they do not normally welcome live animals onto the premises. She, along with Maple, was a popular exhibit and Millie managed to get her photograph in the Glasgow Herald newspaper.
