Eli is a very nice cob who came to Mossburn 2002 aged five his owner being unable to cope with a skin condition Eli has called sweet itch, (basically an allergy to midge bites).  Since coming to us Eli has had three loan homes and we thought his last one would be permanent but the lady who had him started to compete with him and got bitten by the competing bug.  Eli gave this lady an enormous confidence boost and they did some minor dressage and show jumping together but because of his breeding Eli is not really cut out to be a dressage horse and show jumps over two foot are out of his league so very reluctantly his “borrower” returned him in order to buy herself a more compedative animal.  We sadly lost our biggest horse Beau recently so when Eli returned home we decided to keep him and use him for our Learning with Horses programmes, he is a very kind and loving horse just as Beau was and although she will never be replaced we are sure Eli will take on the work here with the attitude we need in our therapy horses.
