Peppa Pig

In February 2011 we were contacted by Fife Trading Standards, they had discovered a so called micro pig in a small shed in the garden of a council house in their area. The owners of the pig had we believe bought her for £500 from a breeder in Coventry, there was no movement licence with her nor did the owners have an agricultural holding number.

The pig was to be confiscated and it was Mossburn or the abattoir. Our manager went to collect the wee soul and transported her home in a dog cage in the back of the car, she squealed all the way and Juanita had a bad headache on arrival at Mossburn, Peppa, as she had already been named, suffered no such thing and once released from the car shot off at a great rate on knots to meet everybody, it was quite amazing, she acted just as if she had come home. And she has never looked back, she loves everybody and everything, will even try to sit on your knee on occasion, but the real love of her life is Hughie.
